Respect and Stereotypes & Things Fall Apart

A main cause for the persecution is Islamic Extremists feel that their culture is superior to the Christians. Most of the Muslim extremist groups target anyone in their country they see as "infidels," or any non-believers. They are seen as inferior and that they do not deserve to be on this planet. These groups of people expressing so much hatred only think they're better because their book tells them they are. And so because they believe they are better, they see everyone else as below them and will fight to keep their status as the best. In the book Things Fall Apart the roles are almost reversed, as the Christian missionaries try to dispose of the local culture of the Ibo people. The missionaries feel that these Ibo people are uneducated and simple, and that their customs are ridiculous. Therefore, the Christian Imperialists attempt to be-rid the villages of these fictional idols and gods. They do not have an open mind and that makes them think that just because these Nigerians weren't like them that they were inferior and unimportant. That is just how it is now, the Muslim extremists feel that because the Christians do not believe in the same God and prophets that they are wrong and deserve to die for it. These people do not respect one another, and there is no way to have a peaceful life if there is no respect.
